Scope of application

DZBLE-100 series residual current circuit breaker is suitable for AC 50Hz circuits with a rated voltage of single pole with neutral, two poles 230 V, three poles, three poles with neutral, and four poles 400 V, and a rated current from 63 A to 100 A. It can quickly cut off the faulty power supply within a very short time in case of human electric shock or leakage current in the power grid 

exceeding the specified value, thus protecting the safety of individuals and electrical equipment. At the same time, it can protect the circuit and motor from overload and short circuit, and can also be used for infrequent switching of the circuit and infrequent starting of the motor.

Residual current circuit breakers have overload and short circuit protection functions, which can be used to protect circuits or motors from overload and short circuits, and can also be used for infrequent switching and starting of circuits under normal circumstances.

The product complies with GB16917.1 standard.

Normal working conditions and installation conditions

● The ambient air temperature is -5℃ to 40℃ , with an average of no more than 35℃ within 24 hours.

● Elevation: The installation site's elevation should not exceed 2000 m.

● Atmospheric conditions: The relative humidity of the air at the installation site should not exceed 50% at a maximum temperature of 40°C, and higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures; for example, up to 90% at 20°C.

● Installation categories: II, III.

● Pollution grade: Grade 2.

● Installation type: TH35-7.5 steel mounting rail is used for installation.

● Installation conditions: The external magnetic field at the installation site in any direction should not exceed 5 times the Earth's magnetic field; the residual current circuit breaker should generally installed vertically, with an inclination of no more than 5° in any direction, and the handle shall be in the power on position when facing upwards; the installation site should be free from 

significant impact and vibration.

● Insulation impulse voltage resistance performance:

The various poles are connected together and can withstand a peak impulse voltage of 6000 V between them and the neutral poles.

● Structure

The residual operating circuit breaker is assembled from DZB1LE-100 miniature circuit breaker and residual current release.DZB1LE-100 miniature circuit breaker is mainly composed of insulation shell, operating mechanism, moving and stationary contacts, delay and instantaneous releases, arc extinguishing chamber, etc.

Residual current releases are mainly composed of zero sequence transformer, electronic discrimination control circuit, release push rod, test button, etc.

The miniature circuit breaker and residual current release are linked through a push rod.


● Working principle

When the residual operating circuit breaker is turned to the ON position by the handle, the mechanical mechanism drives the moving contact to move towards the stationary contact and make reliable contact with it, thus connecting the circuit. When an overload fault occurs in the circuit, the overload current causes the thermal bimetallic element to bend and push the lever to reset 

the mechanical locking mechanism, and the moving contact quickly leaves the stationary contact, thereby achieving the function of breaking the circuit. When a short circuit fault occurs in the circuit, the short-circuit current causes the instantaneous release to operate, and the iron core top rod pushes the lever to reset the locking mechanism, achieving the breaking function. When there is residual current or electric shock fault in the circuit, the signal output by the zero sequence transformer triggers the siliconcontrolled rectifier to conduct, causing the residual current release iron core to act, and the push rod to push the circuit breaker to trip, causing the residual current circuit breaker to cut off the power supply in a very short time, thus achieving the residual current protection function.


● Wiring

Before installation, a suitable wire should be selected to connect the residual current circuit breaker to the circuit. The recommended cross-sectional area of the wire is shown in Table 3, and the residual current circuit breaker should be checked for compatibility with the normal working conditions used.
